About the Artist: Kristin Ruscher

Hi, I’m Kristin! 👋

I’m a Dallas-based contemporary mixed media artist creating museum-quality, highly textured works that explore growth, transformation, and the shared human experience.

With a background in finance, brand strategy, and innovation, along with an MBA from Southern Methodist University, I bring both conceptual rigor and emotional intelligence to my studio practice. After 17 years in corporate leadership, I transitioned fully into fine art in 2023, merging strategic thinking with an intuitive creative voice.

Working within the evolving Dallas contemporary art landscape, I create collectible mixed media artwork designed to hold presence; visually, emotionally, and architecturally across a range of refined spaces.

My current body of work, The Path, is the foundation of my practice.

This contemporary mixed media series explores the universal journey of becoming. Each composition is constructed through layered acrylic, sculptural sand, mosaic tile, and luminous resin, creating dimensional surfaces that shift with light and perspective.

At the center of each work, a solitary miniature swimmer moves through geometric-yet-organic waters; navigating tension, uncertainty, illumination, and possibility.

The swimmer is both individual and universal.

From origin to horizon, these works map the unseen architecture of our lives; decision, courage, reinvention, surrender. The scale invites proximity. The texture draws viewers closer. The symbolism lingers long after the first encounter.

Collectors are drawn to The Path for its emotional clarity and conceptual cohesion. Many share that living with the work feels like holding a visual anchor, a marker of personal evolution and a quiet reminder of resilience and direction. The pieces often become not just focal points within a room, but deeply meaningful companions within a space.
