The Path to Bondi Beach is inspired by recent travels to Australia and a few unforgettable days soaking in the beauty, energy, and design language of Bondi.
The spark for this piece came from the painted walls outside Icebergs Swim Club, perched dramatically above the ocean. Their blocks of color and tiny swimmers mirrored elements I’ve long used in my own work in the most uncanny way. The moment I saw it, I knew I had found the perfect inspiration.
I love creating artwork as a tribute to place, not always in an obvious way, but through subtle details like color, composition, and feeling. This piece captures the fresh palette of Bondi and the iconic spirit of Icebergs through a clean, elevated visual language.
